There is no physical recovery associated with receiving a custom retainer at Troy Meadows Dental, and it can be worn immediately following the fitting appointment. Some patients experience minor pressure or a tight sensation when first wearing the retainer — especially if there has been a gap in wear — which is a sign the teeth are being held in their correct positions.
